Hello hello!  Of course, the biggest news must come first...MICAH AND BLAKE ARE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Sorry if this is how you found out though...it really was quite amazing (major props to Blake).  After they went to a friend's house to eat dinner (even though Blake was so nervous he couldn't eat), they drove to the library so Blake could "return a book."  Then he led her out the front of the library which overlooks the quad and...their families and friends!  At least 40 people came!  He had the Denny Chimes dude play Canon in D during the proposal- I don't think there was a dry eye in the house!  Afterward we all went to Wesley for cake and ice cream and Megan, Kara Leigh, and I spent the night with Micah in her adorable house.

Since my fam went out of town this weekend, I came home to an empty house.  I couldn't have that, so I invited Peg and ML over for some quality girl/GP time!

Finals are quickly approaching...scary!  I'm in definite need of some R&R though, so Thanksgiving will be nice...

That's it for now!

Thought I'd have a little fun...

I think all you have to do is click on the first link...it's not working very well though- sorry

We had our first REACH workday on Saturday at RIF.  Over 14,000 books were labeled and boxed, so it was definitely a success!  I'm so proud of my wonderful group!

Then, a group went to Georgia for Peggy's b-day.  I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my entire life!  Ahh...good times.  I still can't believe how fast everyone is growing up (yet we still act like we're four when we get together).

This next week won't be too bad.  I have an Accounting test and an English paper, plus plenty of other things to keep me busy.  I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Thought I'd post before things started getting crazy again...I have two mid-terms this week- get excited!

Well, this weekend was great!  I got absolutely nothing productive done (which I usually hate), but I did go to OHS's band competition to see my girls.  I'm so very proud of them, especially Mary Louise who is the best drum major EVER!  Seriously, if you know her at all, try your best to get her to Auburn, because I desperately need her here next year since Peggy decided to be a traitor and leave us for UA...

Pray for me because I've been considering who to live with next year.  I know it's a long way off, but leases have to be signed soon and everyone's talking about it.  I hear so many horror stories, and I'd rather not be part of one of them.

I hope everyone has a blessed week!

Alright, so I should be working on homework right now, but I thought I'd take a break and procrastinate as much as I could

I turned in my Honors English paper today- it's amazing how good that made me feel!  It definitely wasn't one of my best works though.  This probably won't interest you much, but I'll tell you the topic anyway...I chose to compare Telemachus from The Odyssey (Odysseus' son) and Joseph from the Bible.  I had to use them as examples of what the Greek and Hebrew cultures portrayed as the ideal of manhood.  It ended up being a lot easier and more interesting than I originally thought.  The best conclusion: God rules.

My AOII big sis and grand big sis got broken into during the football game Saturday.  A word to the wise: don't get an apartment on the ground floor!  Emily (my grand big) said that God definitely had His hand on her, because she tried to drive back from the game 3 different ways in 45 minutes and gave up and went to a friend's house.  It's really scary stuff...

I've only been to 1 out of 4 football games so far...and I'm skipping again this Saturday to go to OHS band competition in Alex City!  My girls take priority over football.  Sorry.

Formal's in three weeks- get excited!  I have a date, but no dress and no idea where we're going once we get on the buses (it's Destination: unknown).  Kinda sketchy if you ask me, but I'm excited!

Today's verse: "Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.  Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my JOY and my DELIGHT" (Psalm 43:3-4)

That's all folks!

Wow!  It's been a great week!  Busy, but great!  We had our first REACH meeting on Tuesday, and I can safely say that I have fallen in love with my group!  They have a great chemistry and I can't wait for our retreat this Sunday!  Ooooo yes, and I made a 94 on my Statistics test that I studyed for a ridiculous amount.  Tomorrow I'll go to my first Auburn game as a sophomore (I skipped the first two- hehe) with all of my lovely AOPi sisters! WAR EAGLE!!!!

Tonight's verse: "Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, 'Abba, Father'" (Gal. 4:6)
